Clearview has been family owned and run since 1975, and it is second generation now, with more than 25 years of hands-on experience behind every quote we write. Our roller blinds are made in our own factory here in Sydney, 100 per cent Australian made, cut and assembled to the measurements we take at your window. Shutters, curtains and awnings we supply and install ourselves. Most of the trade buys finished blinds in from a wholesaler and adds a margin to them. We would rather make them.

Why Clearview Blinds?
From the first call to the last bracket, you deal with the same people. We measure the reveal at the top, the middle and the bottom, because almost no window in a Sydney house is square, and we build the blind off the smallest of the three. We check the depth before we promise a cassette will fit. We pick the tube size for the width and the fabric weight, so a wide blockout does not sag through the middle. Most of our work comes from referrals, which is the only review that counts.

Working out what goes where
Start with what each room has to do. A bedroom needs to go dark. A west facing living room needs the glare off the television at four in the afternoon. A bathroom needs privacy and a fabric that copes with steam. Get that right and the fabric choice follows.
Blockout roller blinds handle bedrooms. Sunscreen suits living areas, because you keep the view and lose the glare. A double roller puts both on one bracket. Shutters let you tilt the light up at the ceiling, curtains soften a hard room, and an awning stops the sun before it reaches the glass. We will walk the house with you and say what we would fit at each window, including the ones we would leave alone.
- Light: blockout for bedrooms, sunscreen where you want to keep the view.
- Depth: a shallow reveal rules out a cassette or a double roller before you start.
- Upkeep: a wipeable fabric near a cooktop or in a bathroom saves you grief later.
